Usually Christmas Card Commissions are a minefield of confused religious and commercial semiotics. Hence the results are often very conservative as everyone involved dilutes the end product with their own opinions. Harley Davidson was a different matter all together. When they briefed Christer Eriksson they took the gloves off and left our exceptional photorealistic illustrator to magnify every element of comedy he could.
The result was a piece of work that has all the charm of Santa’s workshop complete with hard working elves but look a little deeper and you’ll note that in the world of Harley Davidson even the most wholesome and merry workplace is not void of vice in the festive season.
