It’s the illustrations that make the first impression in an illustrated online banner.

If an animation gets noticed it’s usually a bad thing as clunky animation distracts the viewer, jarring the delivery of a message.
Online animations are judged by their character and require an illustrator like Chris Wahl. Having worked at Disney studios Chris is capable of drawing the same character with precision likeness across all poses and expressions.

Online animators Like Derek Fernandes from RedBox Digital require more than great looking character illustrations, they need the characters to be drawn so that they can be manipulated into smooth movements. The more an illustrator can achieve this the more fun the animator has with his animation. Just like a Puppeteer and his puppet.

Below are examples of Chris Wahl's deft hand at work on pencils and final posable vector files. If you want to see the animated version of Emma, just click on any of the images to have her open in a new window for you.
